Evoking memories of them
...and in the morning, we will remember them.
Laurence Binyon's poem, 'For the Fallen' was first published in the Times newspaper in September 1914.
The poem captured the public sentiment then, as now.
Our goal is to stimulate remembrance of the sacrifice of both combatants and non-combatants of all nationalities in the 1,536 days between 1st August 1914 and the first Armistice on 11th November 1918.
Enjoy the contrasting landscapes as you ride our twisty routes linking the rolling fields of Picardy, through the flatlands of Artois and a splendid arrival in the bustling towns of Flanders.
If motorcycling is not your thing, a pilgrimage by car means that if it is cold and wet, you will warm up between locations.
We have available routes saved as GPX files which we are delighted to share with you in return for a small donation to one of our chosen charities. We can recommend accommodation and restaurants.
